In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
So much cheaper than buying the shop stuff, and very easy to do. I made it all the time at the nursery for the children : ) Or you could make it for yourself if you're a big kid at heart ;)
Playdough recipe ingredients
•1 cup flour
•2 tbsp cream of tartar (which you can get in the baking aisle at the supermarket)
•½ cup salt
•1 to 2 tbsp cooking oil
•1 cup water
1. Mix flour, cream of tartar and salt in a saucepan.
2. Add the water and oil and cook over medium heat until thick. At this stage you can either add a few drops of food colouring to the mixture and kneed in. Or if you want two colours, split the mixture and add different colours to each half.
3. Remove from the pan and leave until it has cooled down before giving it to the kids.
4. Put plastic covering over the table and then it's over to the kids! They'll love using rolling pins and biscuit cutters to make shapes.
Tip: You can also bake the dough in a low oven until it's hard to make decorations. These can also be painted.
